The EdgeX Napa Release
EdgeX Foundry Release Version 3.1
EdgeX Napa is the 13th open-source community release by the Foundry and continues the trend of reliably producing releases since 2017. It becomes the latest long-term support (LTS) release from the community and is a stabilization release of the previous EdgeX 3.0 (Minnesota) release
Major Release Themes of Napa
As well as stabilizing the previous V3.0 release, new features in Napa V3.1 include:
- URI for files - a new ability to load EdgeX configuration files from a remote location via a URI
- Common Configuration - Added support for C Device Services
- Major Documentation Improvements - especially as part of the V3 stabilization
- Core Data Retention - Ability to retain a configurable maximal number of data readings

The IOTech team are busy finalizing the Edge Central 3.1 release.
Until then, you can download the current Edge Central release which is based on the EdgeX 2.3 Levski release and includes many additional key features. Check out the Edge Central 2.3 Release Notes for more details
