Managing Gateways¶
The Gateways pane allows you to create and manage Edge Xpert service endpoints for connections with Edge Xpert Manager. The gateway can be configured to connect to Edge Xpert services that run on different hosts.
To display the Gateways pane, select GATEWAYS from the main menu. The Gateways pane is similar to the following:

Default Gateway¶
Edge Xpert creates a default gateway, which defines the endpoints for the microservices as follows:

Adding a Gateway¶
To add a gateway to Edge Xpert, complete the following steps:
Select the Add (+) icon
The Add Gateway dialog box displays, as illustrated below:
Enter the name of the gateway in the Name text box
Enter a description of the gateway in the Description text box
For each service, do the following:
- In the Host text box, enter the IP address or the hostname for the service
- In the Port text box, enter the port number for the service
Select the OK button. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without adding a gateway
Selecting a Gateway¶
Where multiple gateways are configured, you can select which gateway configuration settings to use.
To change the selected gateway configuration settings, complete the following steps:
Select the radio button
Select the Change button. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without changing the gateway configuration
Editing a Gateway¶
To edit the configuration for an existing gateway, complete the following steps:
Select the Edit Gateway (edit) icon from the Action column
The Edit Gateway dialog box displays.
Update the fields in the Edit Gateway dialog box as required. For information on the fields, see Adding a Gateway
Select the OK button to update the gateway configuration. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without changing the gateway configuration
Deleting a Gateway¶
To delete a gateway, complete the following steps:
Select the Delete (x) icon from the Action column
The Confirm Delete dialog box displays.
Select the Delete button to delete the gateway. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without deleting the gateway
