Managing Exports

The Export pane allows you to visualize, create and manage recipients of data from Edge Xpert. The Export Service allows clients, whether on- or off-gateway, to register as recipients of data coming through Core Data.

To display the Export pane, select EXPORT from the main menu.

Adding a Recipient

To add a recipient, known as export registration, complete the following steps:

  1. Select the Add (+) icon

    The first page of the Add Export wizard displays:

  1. Enter the destination and data format information in the text boxes. The following table describes the fields:
Field Description Value
Destination Drop-down menu. Select the export registry that you want to create Rest Endpoint, MQTT (Google IoT Core), MQTT (AWS), MQTT (Azure), MQYY Topic, XMPP
Name Text box. Enter the name of the export registry  
Enable Toggle switch. Enable or disable the export registry  
Encryption method Drop-down menu. Select whether to use Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption None, AES
Compression method Drop-down menu. Select the compression method to use None, GZIP, ZIP
Export format Drop-down menu. Select the data format for the export data” CSV, JSON, XML
  1. Select the Next button. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without creating a recipient

    The second page of the Add Export wizard displays:

  1. Enter the address information in the text boxes. The address information differs according to the selected Destination; for further information, see Export Services Edge Xpert Export Services

  2. Select the Next button. Selecting the Back button returns you to the previous page. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without creating a recipient

    The third page of the Add Export wizard displays:

  1. Enter the address information in the text boxes. The following table describes the fields:
Field Description
Device filter Text box. Enter the device-generated reading data to collect
Reading filter Text box. Enter the device resource-generated reading data to collect
  1. Select the OK button to add the recipient. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without creating a recipient

Editing the Recipient

To edit the details of the export, complete the following steps:

  1. Select the Edit Export (edit) icon from the Action column

    The Edit Export Wizard displays.

  2. Update the fields in the Edit Export Wizard as required. For information on the wizard and fields, see Adding a Recipient, above

  3. Select the OK button to update the recipient. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without creating a recipient

Deleting a Recipient

To delete a recipient, complete the following steps:

  1. Select the Delete (x) icon from the Action column

    The Confirm Delete dialog box displays.

  2. Select the Delete button to delete the recipient. Selecting the Cancel button closes the dialog box without deleting the recipient
